Coffee
makers can be grouped into two types; Traditional
(manual) and Bean-to-Cup (automatic) machines.
All
of the coffee machines featured on this website
produce delicious coffee - both espresso and
cappuccino. They will elicit the perfect crema
from your favourite roasted bean, and produce
an extremely enjoyable aromatic cup of coffee.
Quality coffee machines are designed to operate
at (at least) 15 bar, which is the optimum coffee-making
pressure and 85-90 degrees centigrade which
is the optimum coffee-making temperature, and
each coffee machine will provide copious amounts
of steam for all the froth you need to enjoy
a "coffee shop" cappuccino.
Cheap coffee makers tend to ruin the coffee
by producing it at boiling point, removing much
of the flavour and imparting a bitterness. At
these temperatures the crema is not produced,
therefore you miss out on that rich creamy flavour
and the glorious coffee aroma. Flavour extraction
is also compromised as they tend to operate
at lower pump pressures. Finally, cheap coffee
makers invariably cannot produce steam in sufficient
quantity to make a truly frothy cappuccino.
The
differences between the various machines are
in the components used, design and styling,
and less obvious factors such as the weight
and stability of the machine. Anyone who has
owned a cheap coffee maker will know how light
and flimsy they are, making the coffee making
experience rather unsatisfying. The solidity
of our machines offer the coffee lover a professional
feel when producing their favourite blend.

For
light commercial and business use, or for the
ultimate in home luxury, consider the Jura
Z5 Generation II
If
you require a machine for light commercial or
business use and intend to produce no more than
80 cups a day, the Jura Z5 Generation 2 is ideal.
Likewise, if you demand the best in home coffee
machines, the Jura Z5 cannot be beaten. They
produce any type of coffee - perfectly, are
simple to use, and are of a highly durable build
quality.
Certainly,
if you require quick production of cappuccinos,
espressos, and also hot water for hot drinks
such as tea or chocolate, we would suggest you
consider the dual thermobloc, dual espresso,
dual cappuccino model, the Jura Z5 Generation
II.
The advantage of a dual thermobloc model is
that perfect coffee is produced at around 85
degree centigrade, whereas the production of
steam and hot water require the boiler to reach
100 degrees centigrade. With single thermobloc
machines this causes a delay while you wait
for the water to cool down for coffee or heat
up for steam or hot water. Not a problem for
home use as the delay is only around 20 seconds,
however if you require instant use, dual thermoblocs
are essential as they have, in effect, two boilers
both at the correct temperature for their respective
tasks. The Jura
Z5, in addition, is unique in its price
range in producing two cappuccinos at a time
simply by pressing a button. No foaming the
milk - that is done for you. Staff of all abilities
will find its simplicity reassuring.
